JOSH’S COMMENTS:
This board was created based solely on the work of Andrew Kidman and his movie Lost in the Ether. I had a chance to visit Andrew in the fall of 2012 and see the original “Dream board” and really wanted to build one. Having been bequeathed Skip’s Steve Lis fish Template, I thought it would be the right fit. Unlike the Dream Board which has a lot of V-plane nose to tail, I’ve built the bottom with a more flat V-plane , to better perform on the majority of the waves here in San Diego. Channels give you the right grip, while Simmons-esque keels set pretty far back on the tail prevent it from sliding and make it hold through tighter turns.
